Introducing Expandia Blaze, our first Campfire partner app

Blaze started as a tool for ourselves. It grew into something much bigger than we expected, and the way it happened says a lot about where AI-native ERP is today.

It started in the back office

When you implement Campfire, some jobs can only be done by the implementation lead. Updating a field on a few thousand records. Deleting a test import that went wrong. Cleaning up after a data migration. None of these are hard, but each one waits for the one person with the right access and the time to do it carefully.

We set out to build a small internal tool so our own team could do this work faster and with less risk.

Then the customers got bigger

Over the past months we took on Campfire customers further upmarket: multi-entity groups, companies operating in several countries, finance teams with stricter controls. Their requests went beyond bulk edits. They needed to restrict which users see which entity. They needed reports shaped for local requirements. Some needed basic inventory or time tracking without buying another system.

Campfire is moving fast and its roadmap is full of the right things. These requests were very specific to each customer, and we wanted to be able to say yes to them right away, while Campfire keeps building the core platform.

So we built the layer in between

Blaze is the result. It runs inside Campfire, through a Chrome extension and a partner app, and adds a set of focused tools: mass update and mass delete, entity-restricted accounts, localization reports, and lightweight modules for inventory and time tracking. Everything Blaze adds is marked inside Campfire's screens, so users always know what they are working with.

Blaze Accounts by entity screen: choose which GL accounts each entity can use

The goal is not to compete with Campfire. It is to help more companies choose Campfire, and get the most out of it once they do.

What happens next

We are opening Blaze to a first group of Campfire customers, free of charge during early access. Our aim is for Blaze to move in step with Campfire's own roadmap: when Campfire ships a feature natively, Blaze steps aside.

If you run Campfire, or are evaluating it and have a specific need on your list, talk to us. There is a good chance Blaze already handles it.

Expandia implements AI-native ERP for companies operating across multiple countries, with live deployments spanning entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Mexico, Colombia and Panama. Blaze is the first product we have built on top of that work.
